Many north side Binghamton residents are hoping their supplies of fresh fruits and vegetables will continue to be available in their neighborhood, including the North Side Farmers market.
Residents said it is needed because there is no supermarket in their neighborhood. However, turnout is low and those who run the operation say more interest is needed to keep the Farmer`s Market in town.
`We`re asking these farmers to come out here and give us a chance` said Natalie Goncharov, a neighborhood assembly representative. `If we can get enough customers this year and the next three trial farmers markets then next year they will come back ever week.`
The next North Side Farmer`s Market will be held on September 26th and October 24th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Anthony`s and Lupo`s Restaurant Parking Lot on State Street.
